Notes:

  • v-st (v-stitch): [1dc, ch1, 1dc] into same place
  • FPdc: yo, insert hook from front to back around post of specified st, yo and draw up a loop, (yo, draw through 2 loops) twice
  • BPdc: yo, insert hook from back to front around post of specified st, yo and draw up a loop, (yo, draw through 2 loops) twice

Pattern:

Multiple: 4sts + 1, plus 1 for foundation ch

Row 1: (RS) 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc into each ch to end, turn.

Row 2: Ch3 (counts as 1dc), skip first sc, *skip 1sc, V-st in next sc, skip 1sc, 1dc in next sc; rep from * to end, turn.

Row 3: Ch3 (counts as 1dc), V-st in first ch sp, *1FPdc around next dc between V-sts, V-st in next ch sp; rep from * to tch, 1dc in top of tch, turn.

Row 4: Ch3 (counts as 1dc), V-st in first ch sp, *1BPdc around next dc between V-sts, V-st in next ch sp; rep from * to tch, 1dc in top of tch, turn.

Repeat Rows 3-4 to form pattern.
