Knit Stitch How-To: The Daisy Stitch

The Daisy Stitch is a beautiful stitch to learn to knit. It’s simple to make, and the four row repeat makes it easy to remember. The end result is lovely, mimicking slanted rows of daisy chains.

Pattern:

Cast on multiple of 4 sts (plus 5 sts)

Foundation Row: (WS) Purl across.

Row 1: (RS) K1, *k3tog (do not remove from left needle; yarn over, then knit 3 sts together again before removing from left needle), k1; rep from * across.

Row 2: Purl across.

Row 3: K2, *k1, k3tog (do not remove from left needle; yarn over, then knit 3 sts together again before removing from left needle); rep from * across, end with k3.

Row 4: Purl across.

Rep Rows 1-4 to form pattern.
